The Children’s Ministry in the Mamponteng District of The Church of Pentecost explored three tourist centres in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital on 25th May, 2018 (Africa Union Day).

The event, organised by the English Assembly of the district, involved 170 children selected from the 13 local assemblies in the district.

Led by the District Children’s Ministry Leader, Deacon Ato Panford, with support from 10 teachers, the journey took them to the Manhyia Palace Museum, Nhyira FM and the Kumasi Mall.

At the Manhyia Palace Museum the children viewed a 10-minute documentary of the history of the Ashanti Kingdom. They were also shown the first Black and White television set introduced in 1965. Other historic artefacts which were on display where also shown to the children.

The next stop was at the Nhyira FM of the Multimedia Group. They were taken to the newsroom and other offices.

The final stop was at the Kumasi Mall, where they had a good time. The tour which sought to strengthen fellowship among the children in the district, was full of fun and very educative.
