The Youth Ministry in Berekum Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated two sewing machines and an electric hair dryer at the cost of about GH₵1,000 to three young ladies in the Area to enable them undertake a vocational training in dressmaking and hair dressing.
The donation took place on 22nd March, 2018, during the Berekum Area Ministers and Wives’ Pre-Easter convention prayers held at the Berekum Nyame Nnae Church Auditorium.
The gesture was an initiative of the Area Youth Ministry, led by Pastor Nelson Agbove, with support from the Area Head, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah.
According to Pastor Agbove, “as we aim at winning souls and establishing them in the Lord, it is our pleasure to spread our tentacles to supporting those who desire to enter into a trade without the required resources. This charitable activity is not only to the members of the Church, but also members of other denominations and even non-Christians.”
He was hopeful that the gesture would be sustained so as to support many more people who are in need.
Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah, on his part, commended the Youth Ministry for the initiative. He entreated the beneficiaries to make utmost use of the items to achieve the intended purpose.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Area Head and the Youth Ministry for the memorable support.
