The La Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle John Osei Amaniampong, has called on members of the Church to exhibit excellent qualities in their work.

In his first meeting with the Area Executive Committee Members and Presbyters, comprising Elders, Deacons, and Deaconesses in the Area at the Dome of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Kokomlemle, Accra, on October 3, 2018, Apostle Osei Amaniampong entreated them to strive to be leaders full of determination, commitment, integrity, confidentiality, courage, love, and honesty, which are key in leadership.

Referring to Mark 2: 1-5, the Area Head noted that the four friends of the paralytic man were much determined and committed to their task. “Their focus was to save their friend and so did not mind the cost. They did anything possible; they had to open the rooftop to be able to get their friend to meet Jesus for his healing,” he said.

According to him, what stirred the four men to help their friend was due to the fact that they understood one another in love, and were of great courage, saying, “These qualities can never be overemphasised.”

He further stated that when King David lost focus of his core mandate as a warrior and king, he sinned against God – a sin he paid dearly for. However, he said, Uriah, who was David’s army officer, was focused, loyal, honest, faithful, and a trustworthy leader, who did not joke with his work.

Apostle John Osei Amaniampong added that with courage, Naaman’s servant was able to convince and save his master who was suffering from leprosy. “Leaders are supposed to be courageous to be able to lead effectively and efficiently,” he added.

“You should be sensitive to the spirit of God, dynamic, and take initiative in your work. Don’t be static,” he noted.
