The Akwamu Zone Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost in the Agormanya Area, on Monday, 7th May, 2018, organised an Intra-Municipal prayers at Akosombo.

The zone consists of six districts namely, Akosombo, Akrade, Adjena, New Combine, Juapong and Akosombo Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC).

In a sermon titled “Empowered to Remain in the Basic Message of Christ” with Bible texts from 1 John 2:24-25, Philippians 3:10, Hebrews 11:1 and Daniel 1:4, the Area Youth Leader, Pastor Peter Adams of Akosombo PIWC, said that in order to remain in the basic message of Christ one needs to be full of the word of God which has the ability to empower and liberate the Christian to remain in Him.

“To remain in the basic message of Christ is a prerequisite for Christian’s salvation; you may choose to joke with everything but when it comes to salvation don’t joke with it,” he said, adding, “The word of God is able to give us an inheritance in God’s kingdom.”

He asked Christian youth to associate with good people and get rid of friends who not encourage them to live and practice the word of God. “By walking with good, solid, Christian friends, you can help each other in pursuit of the knowledge and ways of God,” he noted.

Sharing some keys that will help empower the Christian youth for daily progressive living, Pastor Adams charged them to gain the knowledge of God’s word, possess an excellent spirit, have faith in God and be daily practitioners of God’s word in holiness.

“Your knowledge about God’s word determines your relationship with Him. Delving deeper in God’s word positions you to know deeper truths which are able to materialise in due course,” he pointed out.

Concluding his sermon, Pastor Adams urged the youth to be strong in mind and show aptitude for every kind of learning.
