The Ahenbrono District in the Berekum Area of The Church of Pentecost has organized blood donation exercise to the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital.
In compliance with the “Possessing the Nations” agenda of The Church of Pentecost, the Dormaa Ahenbrono District saw the need to enrich the blood bank of the Presbyterian Hospital to enable them to render the necessary health care services to patients who would be in need.
The blood screening and donation exercise was held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, as part of their Christmas Convention activities.
The District Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Mensah Kwofie, pointed out that the church has the obligation to holistically meet the needs of people in the society and that necessitated the blood donation exercise.
The Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital has a vast catchment area. It serves the Dormaa Central, East and West districts, and some parts of Western Region and Ivory Coast.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Medical Director of the hospital, Mr. Sulemana (Head of Laboratory Department), expressed his profound gratitude to the Church for the kind gesture.
He recalled that the Church embarked on a similar exercise in 2017 which helped the facility to a large extent. He was certain that the recent donation would bring great relief to the hospital once again.
