The annual Heads of Churches and Organisations Conference organised by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) is currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa-Fetteh.
The three-day conference, which began on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, is being held under the theme “Reflecting Christ” (Matthew 5:16) and is expected to end on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the GPCC, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, urged church leaders to approach the gathering not as a routine obligation but as a moment of spiritual renewal and strategic repositioning for national impact. He emphasised that the Church is God’s appointed vessel for manifesting His glory in every generation and is called to be a visible and tangible representation of God on earth.
Explaining that, in secular Greek thought, glory refers to opinion, Apostle Nyamekye noted that the world’s perception of God is shaped by what it sees in the Church. He stressed the need for clear evidence of God’s reality within the Church for the sake of His great name, adding that the influence entrusted to the GPCC comes with significant responsibility. He encouraged participants to disconnect from worldly distractions and return to their regions spiritually ignited as true reflections of Christ.
Delivering a message on “The Force of Faithfulness,” the Presiding Bishop of The Life International Church and First Vice President of the GPCC, Bishop Dr Gordon Kisseh, described Christianity as a long-distance race that requires wholehearted devotion. He explained that faithfulness is a spiritual force and a vital expression of God’s glory, noting that holiness, righteousness, and faithfulness are inseparable attributes of God.
Citing Luke 16 and Hebrews 3:1–6, Bishop Kisseh said God often entrusts small responsibilities to test faithfulness and that lasting success is built on obedience rather than miracles. He warned against betrayal and greed, describing them as opposites of faithfulness.
Also addressing the conference, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon Constituency, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, highlighted the Church’s influence on national life, stating that when the Church gathers, the nation listens. She appealed to church leaders to support the government’s National Sanitation Day initiative.
Several heads of churches, senior clergy, and government officials were present at the event.
