EXPOSITION:

“The world has many religions; it has but one gospel.” – Owen

Mission is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as “an important assignment given to a person or a group of people typically involving travel abroad. It is also a vocation or calling of a religious organization, especially a Christian one, to go into the world and spread its faith.”

According to Pat Hood, The Church Must Leave The Building, “If Christ has called you into relationship with Him you are called to be a missionary.” This resonates well with the Church’s to vision possess nations for Christ. I must, therefore, be an agent of transformation to convert cultures for Christ.

In today’s reading, Paul the Apostle sees himself as a prisoner of Christ for the sake of Missions. His mission was to reveal the hidden mystery of our deliverance through faith in Christ. His aim was to roll away the stone of ignorance that led to slavery to Satan’s deceits.

CRITICAL VERSE:

“And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ” – Ephesians 3:9, NKJV

LIFE APPLICATION:

The greatest service we can render to God on earth is to let others know the mystery of our salvation through faith in Christ. This important assignment has been given to us by Christ to go. “Therefore go, my brother go, my sister go…”
