THE RISEN CHRIST, OUR SAVIOUR

Acts 5:30-32; Romans 5:10

EXPOSITION:

Yesterday we learnt that the foundation of the Christian faith is the resurrection of Christ. Our faith in Him makes us partakers of His resurrection. If Christ had not been raised, then our faith in Him would have been in vain.

The saviour is the one who has the power to give life to anyone who comes to him.

The Apostles escaped prison death in Acts 5:17-19 by the visitation of the angel of the Lord. They were later found teaching in the temple, they were arrested and brought to the chief priest and the Sadducees for questioning. Then Peter answered, “the God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead-whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.

God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Saviour that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgiveness of their sins” (Acts 5:30-31). Because Christ Jesus was raised back to life, he has now become God’s gift of life to all who come to Him.

Jesus’ triumph over death has guaranteed us a victorious salvation! Hallelujah!

LIFE APPLICATION:

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has reconciled us to God and given us eternal and everlasting life. Therefore, this sole effort of Christ has complete salvation to all those who come to faith in him. We have life here on earth and will have life here after if we walk in the faith we have confessed in Him.

PRAYER: Pray as you are led by the Holy Spirit. #PossessingtheNations
