EXPOSITION:

In our previous devotion, we learnt that the Risen Christ has become our Saviour. We were alienated from God through the disobedience of one man in the Garden of Eden. We lived our lives as people condemned and without hope. But, thanks be to God that through the glorious resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, he has brought back what we lost as a result of the disobedience of Adam (1 Corinthians 15:19-22). He has opened a new way for those who would believe in Him to walk in Him in order to be raised from death (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14).

Have you ever waited on God in a seemingly hopeless situation? Is life so vulnerable with you? Your faith in the risen Christ will give you the desired hope and the hope for the future.

LIFE APPLICATION:

The resurrection of Christ has brought us divine hope. We were once without hope and excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise and without God in the world (Ephesians 2:12-13). This hope comes in various forms: the hope of eternal life; the hope of glory; hope of spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms; hope of resurrection. This in all gives us a better future here after. This hope is true, sure and firm. We must therefore hold on to this hope in order not to lose it.
