Exposition
You were once separated from God through the disobedience of one man in the garden of Eden. You lived your lives as someone condemned and without hope. But thanks be to God that, through the glorious resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, He has brought back that which you lost as a result of the disobedience of Adam (1Corinthians 15:19- 22). He has opened a new way for those who would believe in Him to walk in Him in order to be raised from death (1 Thess.4:13-14). This hope you have received is not limited to this earthly life only but even the one to come.

Have you ever waited on God in a seemingly hopeless situation? Your faith in the risen Christ will give you the desired hope and hope for the future. The resurrection of Christ has brought you divine hope. We were once without hope and excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise and without God in the world (Eph. 2:12- 13).

This hope comes in various forms: the hope of eternal life; the hope of glory; hope of spiritual blessings in the spiritual realms; and hope of resurrection. All these give you a better future hereafter. This hope is true, sure and firm. You must therefore hold on to it in order not to lose it.
