THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH II

Hebrews 10:38; Hebrews 11:1-6

EXPOSITION:

Continuing from yesterday’s discussion, it is crucial for God’s people to live by faith in Christ Jesus. The word of God says, “Now the just shall live by faith. As believers, we need to trust the authority of the Scripture. Daniel was in the lions’ den and came out without a scratch. Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego were in the fiery furnace and they were unharmed when they came out.

Do you believe that the same God that protected them is our God today? Are you willing to step out by faith? People may not love you for it, but they will respect you for it. One thing God honours is faith.

Have you ever learned to live by faith? You may ask, “Would faith include every need?” It would. Your work, academics, family, future, your provisions. You would not have to want for anything.

“Now the just shall live by faith.” God will take care of you. It is said that those who leave everything in God’s hands, experience God’s hands in everything. There is hope for those who will hold firm their trust in God as the calamity comes.

To live by faith, we must look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Keep your eye on Him, looking unto Jesus, “… who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2).

The way to live by faith is to look at Jesus who lived by faith and became the author and perfector of our faith.

PRAYER: Father, increase my faith. I depend on you oh Lord.
