Exposition
We are in a generation where many ideologies attempt to remove God out of everything. Many people get confused and unfortunately give in to these falsehoods by taking decisions based on their own strengths excluding the role of God in achieving a goal. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this.” This is needful because activities on earth are determined by many factors which are beyond the natural but there is a God who is the Creator of this world and sees the end from the beginning.
One of the factors is the gift of life which no one can guarantee except the giver of life, God. When He is fully involved in the planning process, there is an assurance of victory. For God to be well involved in your plan, He must be an integral part of the plan. The plan should seek to glorify God at the end of the period. Your plan to excel in academics, develop a talent, have good health, and obtain recognition among your peers and society must bring glory to God after attaining them. Also, your dependency should be on God always. Present your plan to the Lord and trust Him to make it a reality.
First of all, God can be involved in your plan through prayers. Prayer is the only means you can communicate to God directly. Therefore, you must intentionally talk to God about your plan by praying. Secondly, the place of the Holy Spirit is very important in your planning, that is if you want God to be an integral part of it. The Holy Ghost is our guide, counsellor, teacher, etc. so you must allow Him to guide, teach and counsel you.
Finally, the God-factor can be seen in your planning through the studying of the Word of God. The Word of God is like a manual for Christians, so you must study it to know whether your plan is in alignment with the Word of God.
