In laying down the different elements of the armour of God, Apostle Paul says, “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one (Ephesians 6:16). When the devil attacks us with doubts, the shield of faith turns away the blow. When temptations come, faith in God keeps us steadfast and immovable in following Christ (Daniel 3:17-18).

“Will your anchor still hold when storms of life come…?” We are able to withstand all the devil’s fiery darts, because we know whom we have believed. This faith is not something that comes from within us. It is a gift from God and He gives each of us a measure of faith (Romans 12:3, 1 Corinthians 12:7-9).

Men and women were accredited for their faith in God in the bible (Hebrews 11). Faith in God should be constant no matter the circumstance we face. It should be kept till the end of time and this is what we need, an unshaken faith. We should be able to declare just us Apostle Paul did at the end of a victorious life of faith in Christ that, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
