By the grace of God, we have really been exposed to the subject of the Fruit of the Spirit. We must always understand that our maturity is measured not by the number of hours we can pray or study the Bible but by the formation of the fruit of the Spirit inward. Believers must understand that we are to bear or produce the fruit of the Spirit and not to sit down idle as we wait for God to produce the fruit in our lives. We are to work it out; we are to make an intentional effort. We are to make a strong determination each day to produce the fruit of the Spirit.
Fruit must grow out of life and, in the case of the believer, that life comes from the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit. We have seen the different exhibitions of the fruit of the Spirit in the life of the believer (Galatians 5:22-23). Kindly try your best to list them and assess your life in these areas. Reliance on the Holy Spirit produces the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is important to note that, because the Holy Spirit lives in the Christian, the ability for the believer to produce the fruit of the Spirit is high. Mature in bearing the fruit and depend wholly on the Spirit.
