SO FAR THIS WEEK

EXPOSITION:

Aps. Prof. Opoku Onyinah (Rtd.) during the 15th Extraordinary Council Meeting of the Church said, “the Lord is the same one God, He never changes, but He changes the methods in which He communicates His messages and this must be built in the minds of our people and all leaders that the methods of God are not static. It does not stay at one place and one way always. It changes!”. From this, the immediate past Chairman of The Church of Pentecost was trying to bring our minds to the fact that God is always doing new things in the world and in His Church as He had promised.

Social media being a technological tool must be accepted by the Church as a way God wants us to reach out and touch lives of people we might never encounter. We must do so with the language of the  people we want to reach out to in order to touch their lives.

In our bid to do this, we must allow the Lord to lead us and also have God’s word within us so that our thoughts can always be renewed by His word as not to conform to the patterns of this world. We must know all the dos and don’ts, ethics and the security measures we must put in place on social media handles, so that people’s lives can be touched, and our lives be without stain or wrinkle or any blemish,  but holy and blameless (Eph. 5:27).

Song:

Keep me true, lord Jesus, keep me true

Keep me true, lord Jesus, keep me true

There is a race I must run,

There are victories to be won

Give me power, every hour to be true

PRAYER GUIDE: Let’s seek grace to possess social media, which is our new mission field. Amen.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THIS WEEK: 1 Chronicles 12:32 - “From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.”
