During the week we attempted to expose the activities of Secular Humanism. Secularism came about when people began to lose confidence in God through myriad of issues. Notable among them were state and church prostitution whereby bishops became an extension of emperor rule and the gross misconduct of the clergy. Humanism also emerged as a result of scientific discoveries which were used to solve human issues thus rendering God obsolete.

We also saw the manifesto of Secular Humanism that places Man at the centre of his own happiness without necessarily seeking help from God or any deity. Alice Barley was greatly used through the United Nations to enforce secular humanistic philosophy via her

famous Ten Point Charter. It should be noted that all the points in the charter were geared towards destroying anything godly or Christian by heavily rewarding indecency against decency. They promulgated sexual revolution and sponsored pornographic industries to destroy piety. These hollow philosophical arguments have serious impact on Christianity as it has become difficult to applaud decency and chastity.

Christians must therefore enter fields like law, politics, business and advocacy to curtail some of the secular humanistic activities. Again, Christians must be current, study and be ready to contend for the faith in Christ. We must put on the whole armour of God and apply Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV) Hey Brother! Be grounded… Hey Sister! Be grounded!
