EXPOSITION:

Beloved in the Lord, this week we have been looking at several aspects of waiting on the Lord. In this world where everything is fast track, we have come to understand this week that we need to wait on the Lord. Waiting is a virtue that must be cherished by all. Many people are unable and not ready to wait on the Lord hence are after so-called prophets and men of God who tend to deceive them and lead them astray.

The basic Christian disciplines such as Prayer, Fasting, Worship, Studying, and Meditation on the Scriptures and having a consistent Quiet Time cannot be overemphasized when dealing with waiting on the Lord. When these are carefully practiced by individuals on the grounds of willingness and not compulsion their spiritual growth is evident. The individual’s relationship with the Lord is also strengthened. In this fast pacing world, let us learn to pause, stop, and wait on the Lord.
