Beloved in the Lord, this week we have been looking at several aspects of waiting on the Lord. In this world where everything is fast track, we have come to understand this week that we need to wait on the Lord. Waiting is a virtue which must be cherished by all. Many people are unable and not ready to wait on the Lord hence are after so-called prophets and men of God who tend to deceive them and lead them astray.

The basic Christian disciplines such as Prayer, Fasting, Studying and Meditation on the Scriptures, having a consistent Quiet Time cannot be overemphasized when dealing with waiting on the Lord. When these are carefully practiced because the individual is willing and not because he or she must, spiritual growth is evident. His or her relationship with the Lord is also strengthened. In this fast-paced world, let us learn to pause, stop and wait on the Lord.
