We examined the Christian and cheap popularity throughout the week. We gleaned lessons from some personal characters like Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul who demonstrated humility to us by way of their actions.
Paul, though for his temperamental weaknesses, did confront the church in Corinth in gentleness and meekness. We learnt that Jesus began the foundational process by calling us to learn from Him as we take His yoke and carry His burden.
We also realised that people who desire to gain cheap popularity are those whose preoccupation is to please men by their works instead of God. Jesus would not even want people to know the miracles He had performed amongst the sick because He would not want that to distort His mission here on earth. He would rather be interested in feeding the souls of men with His word.
May the Lord help us to remain humble in all our ways, especially in this popularity craze world!
