SINCERE FAITH IS LEARNT FROM GOOD MENTORS

2 Timothy 1:3-5, Hebrews 13:7-8

EXPOSITION:

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. The more we hear the Word of God the more we build and strengthen our faith. Like Timothy we should have godly fathers and mothers who will speak and Live out the unadulterated Word of God that has the propensity to build us up. Examining the life of Timothy critically, his spiritual father asserts that the sincere faith he has seen in his grandmother, Lois and mother Eunice also abides in him. In our various homes we should be prepared to be trained up by our godly mothers and grandmothers through morning devotions and exhortations to build a sincere faith which does not waver no matter the circumstance.

In the book of Hebrews, we learn that no matter where we get to in our spiritual life, we should always remember our leaders who spoke the Word of God to us, considering the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

Reflection: Do you know that whatever you honour, you attract? Pride always precedes a fall. Learn to submit by honouring mentors in Christ in order to build a solid and sincere faith.

PRAYER: Dear Lord Jesus. Help me build a sincere faith by honouring my leaders. #PossessingtheNations
