SEED-TIME AND HARVEST-TIME

Ruth 4:1-22

Exposition

The loyalty, resilience, obedience and service of Ruth had finally paid off. But did she receive her reward on a silver platter? She started off not knowing the end but by taking the right decision, following it with right choices and through faith she had a very happy ending.

One advantage you can get from mentors is to know the things that brought them to their God-assigned places in life. You can also learn from their mistakes in order to avoid committing them in your life. Admiring people and wishing to be like them is not the recipe for success. Successful people have particular lifestyles that must be emulated in order to get to where they are. You must take steps that will take you to your place of destiny one day at a time, doing the right things and hanging out with the right people.

Naomi’s life was one full of tragedies and bitter experiences, but God brought joy to her in the end. There are various areas of your life you may not be happy with; however, getting exasperated and giving up does not improve the situation. As you turn over the misfortunes in your life to God, He will change your story.

Prayer Guide: I praise you Lord because you are able to cause all things to work together for my good.

Memory Verse For This Week: Ruth 1:16 (NIV) – “But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.”
