Preparation Before Church

2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 6:17-18

EXPOSITION
Wherever you find yourself, there’s a required conduct you have to portray. This includes conduct at church. The Church of Pentecost has laid down some rules of conduct to help its members walk right with God. Our focus this week is on the summary of these rules.

Rules A,B,G emphasizes how one must be prepared even before going to church. These rules stress on one spending quiet time with God through diligent meditation on the word of God and praying always (Joshua 1:8). Also, the Bible must be with you anytime you go to the house of God.

LESSON LEARNT: Have personal time with God before going to the house of God.

Lord Jesus, help me to have my quiet time daily. Amen.

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit,[a] striving together as one for the faith of the gospel. Philippians 1:27a (NIV) AMEN
