Have you ever been warned by your teacher or parents to stop doing something you desired to do? I believe you stopped to avoid the likely punishment your disobedience may invite.
The Jewish leaders warned the disciples not to preach or teach anything in the name of Jesus again. It was quite frightening, but when they prayed they were filled with boldness and continued to speak God’s message without fear. Prayer gives you the ability to preach without fear.
