EXPOSITION:
Apostle Paul’s admonishment to his mentee – Timothy that “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs” found in 1 Timothy 6:10 is very relevant for this generation.
The grace and ability to balance your stand on money and love determines the heights you would scale in life. Ecclesiastes 5:10 (NLT) tells us that those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 that “you cannot be slaves of God and of money.” Hebrews 13:5 equally teaches us to keep our lives free from the love of money and be content with what we have.
For me as a youth, therefore, my love for the Living God must supersede my love for money.
MEDITATION:
I have a choice of deciding to Love my Lord and like money.
