Faith, hope and love are three very important values in Christendom. Hope is expectation for something to happen. Faith is described as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By this definition, it means there is hope in faith. Hope brings about faith. Hope sees a blessed future while faith sees future in the present. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
However, these two great Christian values cannot be compared to love in terms of the greatest. When we get to heaven, all our hope would have become a reality hence there will be no need to hope again. Also, there will be no need to exercise faith since we will daily and constantly be in the presence of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. On the other hand, in His presence our love would grow from one level of glory to another. As we behold His radiance and glory we cannot help but love Him all the more. Love is God Himself.
Today’s Scripture makes it clear that love is the greatest. Seek to walk in love and manifest the love of God wherever you find yourself.
