The Prophet Habakkuk was worried and asked the Lord why Judah could delve so much into sin for a long time without any appropriate punishment. God assured him that He was going to use the Babylonians to punish Judah but this got Habakkuk worried again.

Why will God use a more sinful nation to punish Judah? God again told him how He will severely punish Babylon too. God realizing the confusion of Habakkuk added that the just could only live by faith, meaning, there could be lots of failed expectations and disappointments which may leave us confused but we need to understand that in walking with God we may not always understand His ways because His ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Hence, we have to learn how to live and walk with Him by faith only.

Trust God because He always does the right things, He is never late, always just and will always make good His word. With such faith in him, we can always be restful, less anxious, and tell of His goodness to others without any shadow of doubts.

Take a decision today to live by faith. Cast all your cares and worries on the Lord. There are no alternatives. Habakkuk taught us that when judgment comes, the just shall live by his faith in the Lord.

Leave the ‘how’ to the Lord and He will take care of it. Do the ‘dos’ by trusting in His performance.
