The Holy Spirit is the main strength behind the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Right from the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to go through the persecution. Through this same power of the Holy Spirit, our Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead.
“I want to know Christ-yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death” Philippians 3:10. Apostle Paul did know him, yet, he wanted to progressively become deeply and intimately acquainted with him and also to know the power of his resurrection and the strength it gives to believers. Apostle Paul denied himself from things that will prevent him from attaining that feat.
The resurrection power and life are for you. The fullness of the spirit is for you. The resurrection power is available to every Christian; every day of his life. God wants your life to be a demonstration of the very same power of the Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11).
For us to know and experience this same power of his resurrection, self- denial from the things of this world must be our outmost priority. When we intimately seek him in the direction of his word and prayer, the resurrection power is always available. We must be willing to share in his sufferings and to be transformed daily into his likeness, dying to sin and the world. In doing that, your daily life will be a demonstration of the resurrection power.
