“HARD PRESSED YET NOT CRUSHED”

2 Corinthians 4:8-16; 1 John 4:4

EXPOSITION:

You may be in a bad situation or a tight spot, but Christ in you is the hope of glory! You may find yourself crying out to God from an overwhelmed heart of life travails and failures, asking Him to eliminate the situation crushing you, from all sides.

The Lord’s word to you today is that He is with you. Do not stay or feel defeated, discouraged, or crushed for you are carrying the greater One in you. He is with you no matter the situation and He has made a way for you even when everything seemed to be over. Glory to God!

When you are hard-pressed on all sides like grapes, produce more Christ because Christ in you is your victory. Life may throw a lot at us but let us be comforted by God’s promises and arise, encouraged, and emboldened to show forth the glorious power of God. We reveal our true nature in how we respond under pressure. Let the nature of Christ who we carry be revealed.

Beloved in the Lord, you may be down but certainly not out; there is an uplifting, yes, no matter what is going on in your life, there is an uplifting as you stay connected to the content (Jesus) you carry. Jesus has declared that He is with us even till the end of the age, so you shall not be crushed.

REFLECTION:

Is Christ revealed in you when you feel hard-pressed?

PRAYER: Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK: 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV) – “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” #PossessingtheNations
