BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE

Isaiah 1: 19; Philippians 2: 9-11

EXPOSITION:

It is important to note that the obedience of Jesus Christ brought us salvation. Hence to remain in this precious gift of salvation, we must necessarily walk in obedience to God and His word. We must guard our salvation through obedience.

Humbling ourselves through obedience to God places our very lives in His sovereign hand. Imagine the enormous blessings that we would enjoy resting in His hand. We will no more be in danger of the subtle attack and destruction by the adversary.

We also enjoy His divine fellowship and abounding grace. This grace supplies our needs and strengthens us in our Christian journey of life. Oh, what a glory it would be up there when face to face with Jesus we shall stand as we join the heavenly choir in a better land!

PRAYER: Pray as led by the Spirit.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK: “Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey; whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness.” Romans 6: 16 (NIV) #PossessingtheNations
