There is a population Twi adage which, when literally translates “In every house, there is a Mensah”. No parent wants his child to be Mensah or a disgraceful fellow.
The children of the Priest Eli became black sheep in the priesthood lineage and their behaviour brought a curse on them. Being a priest was a great honour, but due to their bad behaviour, the priesthood in their family ended. They would have attracted the blessings of God upon their family.
LESSON LEARNT: You must be a child who attracts God’s blessings—and not curses—upon your family.
