Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:1-4

EXPOSITION
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on a believer. Pentecostals believe that the initial evidence of one being baptized in the Holy Spirit is the person speaking in tongues. The person becomes filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do mighty works.

Whoever accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour qualifies to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. The only way a believer can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to begin to desire, pray and fast for the Holy Spirit.

LESSON LEARNT: Whoever accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour qualifies to speak in tongues.

Holy Spirit, may your fire be made manifest in me that I may do mighty works in Jesus' mighty name. Amen

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4 (ESV) AMEN
