EXPOSITION
Just as any branch which does not abide in the stem dries out likewise anyone who does not remain in Jesus remains spiritually dead and and an easy prey for Satan. People who do not abide in Jesus are classified into two.
The first of these comprises people who do not have a personal faith in Christ and have never accepted Him (v. 6).
The second group comprises people who have accepted Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour but do not bear the fruit of the Spirit. (v. 2).
Let’s make every effort to stay connected to Jesus at all times so that we can live with Him eternally.
LESSON LEARNT: God expects that you stay connected to him and bear fruit.
