The Moulding Process.

Scripture References: Titus 2:1-8; Jeremiah 18:1-6; Acts 13:36.

Exposition:

Welcome, my dear one, to today’s devotional. Hope you enjoyed yesterday’s devotion? In our devotion today, we will be considering the “Moulding Process.” There are different types of moulding tools for different purposes depending on the field of Work. In the brick industry we have moulding tools like trowel, mould box, wooden float, angle, trowel etc. Some moulding tools that are used in the carpentry industry include Multi Angle, Miter Shear, Multi-Purpose Marking and Measuring tools, Hack Saws are used in the plumbing, electrical and Carpentry industries. All these tools have specific functions and achieve specific ends.

In our Reading today, the Man of God, Paul, teaches the young minister Titus, how to become a pattern of Sound Doctrine. Verse 7 says “show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,”. The Model here was for him to be a pattern to be used to create others, hallelujah.

If there is something God needs badly from the end time Church, then it’s authentic Models. May you be an authentic model, from which others could be created.

In our Second reading, the Lord asked Jeremiah to go to the potter’s house and observe how the Potter does his work. In the process, the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do. We are all clay in the hands of the Master Potter and if we allow Him, in our mess he can rework us into a message; in our disappointment, He can rework us into an appointment; in our hopeless situation, He can rework us into Hope. But the question is, will you let him?

For 40 years of ministry, God took 80 years to prepare Moses. Eli the High Priest was prepared for 58 years before serving for 40 years. For 3 and a half years of ministry, God had to prepare Jesus for 30 years. As high rise buildings have deep foundations, so do high trees have deep tap roots. Because you’re going to serve God’s purpose as a pattern in your generation like David, you ought to be moulded to achieve the intended purpose. Don’t take your moulding process for granted.

Prayer Guide: May God grant us the humility to go through moulding and the strength to endure God’s moulding process.

Memory Verse For This Week:

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) – “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
