Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye is the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, a global Pentecostal denomination headquartered in Ghana with a presence in over 201 nations (comprising 177 UN-recognised nations and 24 autonomous nations and islands). In addition to his leadership role in the church, he also holds the position of Chancellor at Pentecost University.
Apostle Nyamekye is also the President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) and the Chairman of the Ghana Evangelism Committee. He is also a member of the Peace Council of Ghana, an independent statutory body focused on promoting peace in the nation.
Globally, Apostle Nyamekye is an Advisory Committee Member of the Pentecostal World Fellowship, a prominent global network of Pentecostal leaders, and a Global Cabinet Member of Empowered21, a movement dedicated to uniting and equipping Pentecostals and Charismatics worldwide to share the gospel effectively. He was recognised as one of the 100 Most Reputable Africans in the 2024 list by Reputation Poll International (RPI).
Apostle Nyamekye holds a Ph.D. in theology from the South African Theological Seminary.
