Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye is the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, a global Pentecostal denomination headquartered in Ghana with a presence in over 180 nations. Under his leadership, the Church continues to expand its influence as one of the largest Pentecostal movements worldwide, recognised for its holistic mission approach and commitment to societal transformation.

He serves as the Chancellor of Pentecost University, a leading Christian higher education institution in Ghana, and the President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), an ecumenical body representing nearly 40% of Ghana’s population through its member churches. Additionally, he chairs the Ghana Evangelism Committee, a key organisation championing nationwide evangelistic initiatives.

Globally, Apostle Nyamekye is an Advisory Committee Member of the Pentecostal World Fellowship, a prominent global network of Pentecostal leaders, and a Global Cabinet Member of Empowered21, a movement dedicated to uniting and equipping Pentecostals and Charismatics worldwide to share the gospel effectively.

His ministerial journey began in 1991, and over the years, he has served in various capacities, including as a missionary in South Africa, where he contributed to the growth of the Church in southern Africa.

Apostle Nyamekye holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (UK), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Theology from the University of Manchester (UK), and a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Known for his visionary leadership and passion for global missions, Apostle Eric Nyamekye remains a significant voice in advancing the mission of the Church and promoting the gospel across nations.

He is married to Mary, and together with the family, they reside in Accra.
