The Asesewa District Women’s Ministry in the Agormanya Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated some items to patients at the Asesewa Government Hospital.
The presentation was done to commemorate this year’s May Day activities.
Speaking at the brief presentation ceremony, the District Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Comfort Offei, revealed that the gesture formed part of their social responsibilities to the community.
The Administrator of the hospital, Mr Felix Kwame Osei-Safo, received the items on behalf of the patients. He and other staff present expressed their indebtedness to The Church of Pentecost for the benevolence.
Assuring the Church that the items would go a long way to benefit the patients and put smiles on their faces, Mr Osei-Safo called on the Church to continually stretch such supportive hands to the facility.
The items, worth GH¢1,500, included toiletries, baby diapers, boxes of bottled water, fruits, sachet water, soft drinks, bread, beverages and biscuits.
Present at the ceremony were some members of the Asesewa District Women’s Ministry and the wife of the District Minister, Mrs Lucy Assah-Awuku.
