To walk worthy of our calling as Christians is to be about our Father’s business. The parents of Jesus had searched Him everywhere they deemed fit but did not find him. They suddenly found Him in the temple, in the midst of the teachers and elders of the temple. Mary, his mother asked “Son, why have you treated us like this? Jesus replied and said, “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” In fact,
Jesus was not just in the temple but was actively engaging the teachers of the law in bible study. It is good to be found in the house of the Lord but it is best to engage the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Being about His Father’s business simply meant that Jesus was actively involved in the things of God, fulfilling his godly mandate on earth.
As young people, when we become fully committed to the things of God, it helps us to discover our purpose and live a fulfilling life in Christ
