SO FAR THIS WEEK

Hey Brother and Sister! Congratulations. We have come to the end of this week’s devotions. Can we refresh our minds on some of the things we learnt this week? Oh yes. We saw the different forms of prayer. We have thanksgiving prayer, petition prayer, supplication, adoration and others. Depending on the situation that called for the prayer, one can decide on which of them to pray.

Paul also made us understand the need to pray with our understanding and also to pray in the Spirit. While prophecy exhorts the church, tongues edify individuals and strengthen them to travail more in prayer. We also saw that fervency in prayer prevents worries and anxieties.

Finally, we were taught to take up the ministry of intercession and do it out of our love and care for others. May the Lord help us to apply our hearts to all these and become more grounded in the faith through prayers.

Prayer Guide: Lord Jesus, I thank you for taking me through this week’s devotions successfully. Continue to give me strength to start with next week so as to feed on your brook daily. Amen.

Memory Verse For This Week: 1 Timothy 2:1 (NIV) – I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.
