The Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, Babile District, in collaboration with the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM), has awarded and supported over 50 candidates who sat for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The programme, held on September 12, 2026, at Babile Central in the Lawra Area, was aimed at motivating students to pursue academic excellence, promoting Christian values, and supporting learners facing financial challenges.
The beneficiaries were drawn from various schools in Babile and Birifoh, with many gaining admission to senior high schools across the country following their successful performance in the examination.
As part of the initiative, the students received educational materials, including exercise books, mathematical sets, pens, and other learning resources to support their continued education. Special awards were also presented to the three best-performing students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
The initiative forms part of The Church of Pentecost’s Vision 2028, which seeks to possess the nations for Christ and transform society through Kingdom values. The Babile District leadership has consistently supported educational and community development initiatives in line with this vision.
The programme brought together traditional leaders, pastors, church leaders, teachers, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) executives, political party representatives, parents, students, church members, and other invited guests.
Addressing the students, the organisers encouraged them to remain disciplined, hardworking, and focused on their educational goals. They were also urged to uphold Christian values and strive to become responsible citizens who would contribute meaningfully to their families, the Church, and society.
The initiative underscores The Church of Pentecost’s commitment to youth development, educational advancement, and the holistic transformation of communities through practical expressions of Christian service.
