“THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD”

1 Thessalonians 5:24; Lamentations 3:23; Psalm 89:2

EXPOSITION:

To be faithful implies a long, continued, and steadfast fidelity to whatever one is bound to by a pledge, duty, or obligation. It also means to be safely trusted, reliable and dependable. God is faithful for He is honest and never changes; He will always do what He has said and fulfills what He has promised.

God’s faithfulness is kept in His word. His faithfulness acts in accordance with the covenant He has with His people. He does nothing outside what He has promised.

The Apostle Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:24 that “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” This means that the faithfulness of God towards those He has called is always kept intact when they keep to His word.

This faithfulness of God is renewed every morning as stated in Lamentations 3:23. Because His faithfulness in renewed every morning, our security for today, tomorrow and the days ahead has been catered for.

LIFE APPLICATION

As children of God, we must always put all our trust in the one (God) who has called us. We must walk in accordance with the word of God because He does nothing outside His word. When we stay connected to Him and remain faithful to the Lord, His faithfulness towards us will always be there.

PRAYER: Oh God, thank You for your faithfulness toward me. I pray that You help me to remain faithful to You in everything I do in Jesus Name
