BEHOLD I AM DOING A NEW THING – PART 3

Isaiah 43: 18-19

EXPOSITION:

God provided water for the Israelites from the rock en-route from Egypt to Canaan. However, in the Desert, God made rivers to flow on dry land.  Desert is a place with no life but if rivers would flow then the place will be fertile, fruitful, profitable, and a place of deliverance.

Our God is a God of a “movement,” not a “monument.” He is dynamic in all His ways and in the things He does. In the old way, the Israelites knew God as bringing water from the rock and parting the Red Sea into two. This almost made them boxed God in that method and even put Him in their mathematical equation. This is what the prophecy is asking us not to do because our God is though unchanging He keeps changing His methods when dealing with man.

LIFE APPLICATION

May we never be too familiar with the methods and ways of God so as not to be ahead of Him with our mathematical equations and formulas.

As we grow in Him in fellowship may our desire be like Paul who exclaimed in Philippians 3:10 that, “For my determined purpose is that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly……” AMP.

PRAYER: Pray as you are led by the Spirit.

MEMORY VERSE FOR THE WEEK: Isaiah 43:19, MSG Bible: “Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the Badlands.” #PossessingtheNations
