The Sakpa District of The Church of Pentecost was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, following approval at the 43rd General Council Meetings in May.

The Sakpa district was carved out of Bole Customs District, with P/Overseer Solomon Dzitse as the first district minister.

A colourful service was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, to formally inaugurate the district and dedicate its newly-constructed four-bedroom mission house, fully funded by the Church’s Headquarters.

The service, chaired by Apostle David Amankwaa (Sawla Area Head), also served as a welcome service for the new district minister and his family.

Apostle David Amankwaa, on Friday, March 3, 2023, cut the sod for the commencement of the mission house building project. He was assisted by Pastor Kwaku Amponsah, the Bole Customs District Minister, and other Executive Committee members of the Bole Customs District.

The mission house was completed in a record time of five months to the glory of God.

The Sawla Area Head also handed over a brand new Apsonic motor tricycle bought by the Headquarters and a Royal motorcycle donated by Haatso District in Haatso Area to the district minister to aid in his evangelistic activities.

The Area Head thanked Pastor Kwaku Amponsah for his dedication and loyalty in supervising the construction of the mission house.

He also thanked the Area Estate Committee led by Overseer Philip Nana Addo and the Area Procurement Committee led by Overseer Jones Dwomoh Amankwah for their great effort in getting the mission house completed on time.

Present at the service were the ministers and wives of Sawla Area, presbyters, and members of Garcoun district, and other well-wishers.
