Nsuta Central Church Building Dedicated
The Nsuta District of The Church of Pentecost in Mampong Area has put up a magnificent Central church building which has been dedicated by the Area Head, Prophet Foster Kwasi Aniakwaa.
Present to assist the Area Head was the District Minister, Pastor Samuel Larbi, and other ministers in the Area.
The assembly, which was established in 1957, is one of the early assemblies of The Church of Pentecost and visited by the Founder of the Church, Pastor James McKeown.
The Finance Board Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Elder Professor Stephen Owusu Kwankye, who is also a native of Nsuta, in a sermon titled, “Building the Church of God Beyond its Dedication,” stated that the church refers to the individual members.
Reading from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, he stated that since the body of the Christian is the temple of God, it should be kept sanctified and pure. He encouraged believers to desist from sin since it contaminates the temple (body).
He stated that the dedication of the building should propel the members to embark on aggressive evangelism and ensure that the auditorium is filled to capacity. He added that the church should not only be filled with members but with discipled members.
He also encouraged the members to ensure that they maintain the church building, saying, “You should consciously work on keeping the church premise clean at all times.”
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Central, Hon. Bediako Kwadwo Banahene, and the chiefs of the area, lauded the church for the good work done. They were grateful to the church for its contributions towards the community. They also encouraged members to set good examples in the community for others to emulate.
Present at the service were Lawyer Fred Frimpong (Counsel for the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II), chiefs of the Nsuta Traditional Council, and Apostle I. K. Amoako (Rtd), among others.
