Yearn For The Pentecostal Experience – Evangelist Adu Tells Christians

The Walewale Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Evangelist Francis Yaw Adu, has advised Christians to strive to experience the reality of Pentecost.

He said this on Friday, October 12, 2018, when he fellowshipped with members of the Wulugu District as part of activities to mark the Walewale Area Holy Ghost Month.

Speaking on the topic: “Experience the Reality of Pentecost” culled from the Area’s Theme for the month: “A Tongue of Fire,” Evangelist Adu stressed that there are certain experiences that make up the Pentecostal experience and by extension the Church of Jesus Christ.

He advised members of The Church of Pentecost not to be merely associated with “Pentecost” by identity or regard it as an Old Testament festival, but strive to have the actual Pentecostal experience that the Apostles and the others had on the Day of Pentecost.

“It is not enough to be a member of The Church of Pentecost not have a personal Pentecostal experience,” he cautioned.
Reading from Acts 2:1-4, the Walewale Area Head explained that “Pentecost is a wind experience which symbolises breath of life and thus the creative power of God.”

“Pentecost is a Fire Experience, Experience of the Fullness of the Holy Spirit, the Experience of Speaking in Tongues and the Prayer Experience,” he added.

After the exhortation, Evangelist Adu led members through a Holy Ghost baptism session. The exercise saw 15 members receiving Holy Spirit baptism with the evidence of tongue-speaking.

To the glory of God, 8 members were healed of various ailments, 2 of whom are deaconesses of the Church who testified that they had been miraculously healed of Asthma and Stomach Ulcer.

The Wulugu District Minister, Overseer Daniel Nartey Blebo, on behalf of the District, thanked the Area Head and his wife for their visit to the District despite the heavy downpour.

Present at the event were Mrs. Esther Adu (Wife of the Walewale Area Head) and Mrs. Esther Blebo (Wife of the Wulugu District Minister).
