Teshie-Nungua Area Youth Ministry Holds Night Of Carols, Seminar

The Teshie-Nungua Area Youth Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has organised a night of carols, choreography, and drama as part of 2018 end of year activities.

The event which took place at the E. K. Kyei Memorial Temple of the Baatsona District was highly patronised by the youth in the Area. It was on the theme, “Razzmatazz for the King of Kings is Born.”

Young people read the Bible in various languages such as Twi, Ewe, Ga, and English, as part of the Nine Lessons, while the Area Mass Choir and Elder Samuel Ohene Djan of Community 20 District ministered various Christmas carols.

The Bible readers were: David Orhin, Pearl Larkai, Mrs. Queenzy Antwi, Michael Duodu, and Lucy Aboagyewaa. Others were: Abigail Acheampomaa, Acsah Nhirah Okla, Solomon Atsu, and Elder Simon Takyi.

The drama was performed by True Vine Theatre while the choreography was performed by the Tebibianor District Choreography Group.

In his remarks, the Area Youth Pastor, Ebenezer Korankye Agyapong, urged the youth to consider the event as a life-transforming one since the birth of Christ brought salvation to all men.

Pastor Agyapong commended the youth for their active participation, commitment and sense of responsibility to the Ministry’s activities.

The Baatsona District Ministry, Pastor Fred Antwi, led the youth in a time of prayer before the last song and Bible text. He encouraged the youth to be prayerful in all activities.

Speaking in an interview, the Assistant Area Youth Leader, Elder Seth Okla, said the annual event has been very successful and urged all participants to continue in the attitude of praise.

The night’s event was facilitated by Elder Samuel Sarfo Agyei, Youth Leader of Graceland PIWC, Nungua.

In another development, the Area Youth Ministry has organised a seminar for all Area and District Youth Leaders on report writing. The seminar which took place on December 8, 2018, was to enable the leaders to prepare their half-year and annual reports with accompanying statistics without any hitches.

The occasion was also used to throw light on Youth Ministry aspects of the Vision 2023.
