Tepa Area Welcomes New Area Head

Members of The Church of Pentecost in the newly created Tepa Area gave their new Area Head, Pastor Daniel Frimpong Manso and his family a rousing welcome on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Tepa.

The welcome service coincided with the inauguration of the Tepa Area which was carved out of the Goaso Area during the 43rd General Council Meeting of the Church. The ten districts that constitute the Tepa Area are: Tepa (Area seat), Tepa Beposo, Kenyasi No.1, Kenyasi No. 2, Wioso, Acherensua, Hwidiem, Twabidi, Bomaa and Mpasaso.

Called into the full-time ministry of The Church of Pentecost in the year 2000, Pastor Frimpong Manso has served in the following stations prior to his appointment as Area Head: Nalerigu (2000-2005), Kukurantumi (2005-2008), Agona Swedru (2008-2013) and Kumasi-Asafo (2013-2018). He holds the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced (A) Level, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Education, and B.A. in Theology.

Delivering the sermon at the service, Apostle Mark Obeng Andoh, Sunyani Area Head and Executive Council Member of the Church, urged Christians to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in order to notice God’s visitation at any time.

Speaking to the theme, “Failing to Recognise the Time of Your Visitation,” Apostle Andoh said that many believers miss their blessings, because of their inability to know the time of their divine visitation.

According to him, God always visit His children for communion and directions mostly through the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Reading from Luke 19:41-44 and John 1:11, he was worried that many Christians of today are making unpardonable mistakes that some followers of God in the Old Testament and early days of Christianity did. He stated that God who cares about His children always respond to their plea but the same people would fail to identify His visit.

“Every believer needs to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and do the will of the Father. Disobedient to the will of God deprives the believer from that divine visitation. Also, when a believer fails to identify the spirit behind the physical act of God, it will be impossible to benefit from the visitation,” he noted.

Apostle Mark Obeng Andoh urged the members to identify and embrace the divine visitations of God upon them, since it always bring healing, restoration, breakthroughs, revival, growth, direction and fellowship.

Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were Apostles Isaac Kwasi Amoako (Goaso Area Head), Kenneth Baffoe Antwi (Atebubu Area Head), G. O. D. Debrah (Kintampo Area Head), Prophet P. B. Apea Adu (Retd), and the pastorate of the Goaso Area.
