Shalom Worship Centre Welcomes Pastor Orhin Agyin & Family

Members of Shalom Worship Centre (SWC) gave Pastor James Orhin Agyin and family a rousing welcome on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, during the welcome service held for the new resident minister of the Church at the SWC Ambassadors Auditorium.

Pastor James Orhin Agyin, together with his Mrs. Joyce Orhin Agyin and family, were transferred from Pentecost International Worship Centre, Bolga (PIWC-Bolga) to take over the administrative duties of the Church.

Speaking on the topic “Fear Not, For I Am With You” at the service, the Nii Boiman District Minister, Aaron Tettey Nartey charged Pastor James and Mrs. Joyce Orhin Agyin to be bold and courageous in order to fulfil the purpose for which God has sent him to Shalom Worship Centre, stressing that “fear cripples faith and confidence of man.”

Basing his sermon on Isaiah 41:10, Pastor Nartey stated that Moses was confronted with many challenges in the ministry but was able to fulfil his mandate because he overcame his fears.

According to Nii Boiman District Minister, who also doubles as the Kaneshie Area Evangelism Leader, Moses overcame fear because he knew the God who had called him. As a result, he was able to fully trust and rely on Him in difficult times. Pastor A. T. Nartey, therefore, admonished Pastor and Mrs. Orhin Agyin to remain connected to God and consequently trust and rely on Him.

Pastor Nartey also stated that Moses overcame fear because he acknowledged that the Hand of God (anointing) was with him throughout his ministry and did not rely on his experiences but on the leading of the Holy Spirit. He, therefore, admonished believers to always acknowledge the Hand of God on their lives and always depend on the Holy Spirit for direction to enable them to lead victorious lives.

In a brief response, Pastor James Orhin Agyin, on behalf of his family, appreciated his predecessors for the great work they have done in the church. He also praised the immediate-past Resident Minister, Pastor Dr Joseph Buertey and his family for the strides they made in the church during his tenure. Concluding, Pastor Orhin Agyin called on all members to allow themselves to be built as holy temples for the Lord as they await the dedication (glorification) of their bodies.

The service, which was well attended by members of the Church, was chaired by Prophet David Kankam (Agona Swedru Area Head and Executive Council Member of the Church). Apostle Fred Tiakor (Children’s Director), Pastor R. S. M. Essel (Kaneshie Area Secretary), Pastor Isaac Annor (Publications Manager) and Pastor Emmanuel Appiah (Israel District Minister) also graced the occasion.
