PIWC-Sakumono Opens New Assembly At Katamanso District

The Pentecost International Worship Centre, Sakumono (PIWC-Sakumono) in the Teshie-Nungua Area of The Church of Pentecost, in collaboration with the Ashaiman Area, has organized a 3-day outreach at Katamanso District in the Ashaiman Area leading to the establishment of a new assembly in the district.

The outreach which took place from June 26 to 29, 2019, saw a total of 42 souls being won unto the Lord. The new assembly had their first service on Sunday, June 30, 2019, with 47 people attending.

The activities carried out during the outreach included house-to-house evangelism, open-air rally, medical screening, and distribution of clothes to the residents.

The outreach is part of the vision of the Teshie-Nungua Area, led by Apostle Dr Alfred Koduah to plant churches in other Areas of the Church.

Preaching the sermon on Saturday night, the PIWC-Sakumono Resident Minister, Pastor Anthony Owusu Sekyere Kwarteng, encouraged the residents to give their lives to Jesus Christ since He is the only one who gives life.

“The Jesus we know can change lives and destinies. We have tried and tasted Him and found out that He is good. If you do not harden your heart and accept Him, He will change your life and destiny for good.

“It does not matter your level of sin or the magnitude of bad deeds committed, all that is needed is to accept Him as your Lord and saviour,” he added.

As part of the event, the community people had the pleasure to watch a Christian movie titled, “Left Behind” which depicts events surrounding the rapture.

The PIWC-Sakumono District Evangelism Leader, Nana Obrempong, expressed his gratitude to his members and the Resident Minister for the massive support which ensured the success of the outreach.

The Katamanso District Minister, Pastor Milliman Adu Acquah, was grateful to the team from PIWC Sakumono for the show of love, dedication and commitment to the work of God, and collaborating with his district to establish an assembly in the district. “The good Lord bless you for taking time off to come here to win souls for the Lord; I truly appreciate it,” he said.

To help grow the new assembly, a delegation from PIWC-Sakumono will fellowship them every Sunday until the new church gains root.
