We Should Remain In The Anointing - Chairman _Chairman

Remain In The Anointing – Chairman Tells Ministers

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, has urged ministers of the Gospel to abide in the anointing for the grace of God to abound in them.

He said many great churches in the past have died because they neglected the Holy Spirit and drove Jesus Christ out of the church through their own practices.

Speaking at the Heads’ Session of the 6th Ministers & Wives’ Conference of The Church of Pentecost on Tuesday, January 9, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah referred to the church in Laodicea (Revelation 3: 14-22) and said Jesus was not speaking to unbelievers but rather believers who had driven Him out of the church through their practices.

The Chairman cautioned that if the current generation of ministers and believers alike are not careful, they will also drive Christ out of the church through their actions, saying, “If we are not careful, will not be able to accommodate Jesus today in our church and we will drive Him out of it. Let us abide in the anointing for His grace to abound for the whole world to see it.”

The President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) further noted that Europe and North America used to be the hub of Christianity in the past, but sadly many churches there have died.

He said the global church has now moved to the Global South (Africa and Asia), which is now hosting Christ, as many global para-church organisations and ecumenical groups have turned their attentions to Africa. “Europe hosted Christ, then North America and now Africa and Asia,” he noted.

Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, who serves on the boards and committees of many international Christian organisations, indicated that The Church of Pentecost with branches in over 90 nations across the world, is now part of the global ecumenical movement having been placed among the top five most flourishing global churches.

“Let us see the global responsibility that God has given us [The Church of Pentecost]. This shows that God has placed a greater responsibility on us. He has blessed us both spiritually and physically. So we should abide in the anointing to warrant more blessings,” he said.

“If we have gone international, then we should be able to package our messages so that it will be accepted globally. We should not limit ourselves, because God has made us leaders,” he indicated.

This year’s All Ministers & Wives’ Conference which officially opened on Wednesday, is being attended by about 3,500 active and retired ministers of the Church and their wives in Ghana.
