PIWC-Kaneshie Donates To Special Groups In Society

The Pentecost International Worship Centre in the Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost (PIWC-Kaneshie) has made donations to some special groups in society.

A delegation of Church members, led by the Resident Minister, Pastor Kingsley Addai, visited inmates of the Odorkor and Kaneshie Police Cells on Friday, December 21, 2018, and Saturday, December 22, 2018, respectively to share the gospel and have fellowship with them. After sharing the gospel with the inmates, assorted food items worth GH ₵1,000.00 were donated to them as gifts for Christmas.

On Saturday, December 29, 2018, the Evangelism Ministry, led by Elder Emmanuel Dadzie (Presiding Elder), visited the Nsawam Medium Prisons to fellowship with inmates and make donations to them. A cash donation of GH ₵ 300.00 was made to inmates in addition to a donation of assorted items (toiletries, bags of rice, sugar, soap, stationery, used clothing, etc.) valued at GH ₵1,500.00.

In an exhortation on the topic, “We Bring You The Perfect Gift Of God: Jesus Christ”, Elder Dadzie admonished inmates to take time to reflect on their lives and consequently submit to the lordship of Jesus who is the perfect gift of God to man. He noted that “Jesus is the only one who can redirect your life unto a perfect path.”  Six inmates responded to the altar call and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

The Chaplain of the Prisons, who received the items on behalf of the inmates, expressed profound gratitude for the gesture and assured the delegation that the donation would be used for its intended purpose and would go a long way to alleviate the plight of the prisoners.

Present at the occasion were Elders Erasmus Dzokoto, Chris Boye Doe, Deacon Ernest Mireku and some members of PIWC-Kaneshie.

In a related development, the Women’s Ministry of PIWC-Kaaneshie also visited the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital, Accra, on Sunday, December 30, 2018, and donated items worth GH₵4,000.00. All the children on admission were given drinks and biscuits to commemorate the Christmas season.

The delegation was led by the Women’s Leader, Deaconess Vivian Amfo. Other executive members and members of the ministry were also present to put smiles on the faces of the children on admission. The Resident Minister, Pastor Kingsley Addai, and his wife, Mrs. Margaret Addai, accompanied the delegation.

Pastor Addai noted that these gestures were important because the church has the mandate to support such people and use it as an avenue to share the gospel with them. Furthermore, he stated that the Christmas season is a period of presenting the indescribable gift of God: Jesus Christ and tangible gifts to people especially the vulnerable and less privileged in society.
