Pastor and Mrs. Dicka: Celebrating 36 Years In Full-Time Ministry

Aaron Akrofi Dicka was born on May 27, 1953, at Akuse in the Eastern Region to Mr. Abraham Akplehe Dicka and Madam Cecilia Terkwor Ocansey.

He completed basic education with a Middle School Leaving Certificate (MSLC) at Akuse in 1968. He attended Akatsi Teacher Training College from 1971 to 1975 and graduated with a Teacher’s Cert “A”.

He worked as a construction worker with the then Public Works Department (PWD) from 1968-1970 and taught as a Pupil Teacher at Asesewa D. C. Primary School from 1970 – 1971. Aaron Dicka then taught professional teacher at Agona Amenfi, Wassa Akropong and La, Accra from 1975 to 1982.

Aaron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour in 1974 at Akatsi and was baptized by immersion at Agona Amenfi in 1975 by Pastor D. Y. Anto (now deceased).

Aaron Akrofi Dicka married Miss Theresa Eghan in March 1982 at Wassa Akropong and they are blessed with two sons and three daughters.

He was ordained a Deacon in 1978 at Tarkwa and subsequently called into the full-time ministry in August 1982. He was first stationed at Bawjiase. He then went on to serve at Ateiku (1988-1990), Twifo Heman (1988-1990), Koforidua (1988-1990), Asamankese (1988-1990), Weija (1988-1990), Tarkwa (1988-1990) and finally at Aburaso (1988-1990).

Indeed, Pastor Dicka could not have had a successful ministry without the support of his hardworking wife, Mrs Theresa Dicka who has indeed been a source of inspiration, support and comfort to him in full-time ministry.

A retirement service would be held in honour of Pastor Aaron Akrofi and Mrs. Theresa Dicka on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at the Aburaso Central Assembly in the Kwadaso Area of The Church of Pentecost.
